University of Dundee, the Centre for Translational and Interdisciplinary Research

University of Dundee - The Centre for Translational and Interdisciplinary Research will be a four storey building which will provide laboratories and associated office space. It will include a state-of-the-art Drug Discovery High Throughput Screening Laboratory and an open-plan floor dedicated to interdisciplinary research bringing together Mathematical Biology, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, Data Analysis and Software Development.

The internal frame of the building will be all concrete, with a variety of precast elements such as wall panels, columns, stairs, landings and other associated units. Concast will fabricate, transport and install all precast units on the building. The building started on site in October 2012. Tracey brothers are the Main Contractor for the project. Mott McDonald are the consulting engineers for the project, with BMJ acting as Architects.
